-

-
Facilitate communication between the members of your birth team
-
Allow your partner to participate in the birth their comfort level
Provided doulas are in training and are not employed by Two Leaves Midwifery.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is a doula the same as a midwife?
No. A midwife is a medical care provider whose primary focus is the health and safety of you and your baby.
A doula is a non-medical member of your birth team that provides you and your partner with physical and emotional assistance.
Does a doula replace my partner?
No. Your partner is your most important support person. A doula's role is to help your partner support you more effectively. If you do not have a partner, a doula can provide extra support as a partner might.
